Hotel Hotel Arena in Amsterdam - Netherlands
 History Hotel Arena knows a rich history. Our building is already more than a hundred years old. In 1890 the complex was built as a Roman-Catholic orphanage. The Saint Elizabeth asylum had this function until the fifties. In 1982 the municipality of Amsterdam decided to open a Sleep-in in the building. In this way the great request for lowbudget-accommodations could be answered. During this period the Sleep-in also unfold itself into a well-known popstage. Many great bands such as Iggy Pop, Status Quo and Marilyn Manson were on the stage.
