The Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, built in the 1500 following the design of Giulio Danti, is situated midway between the Basilica of Saint Francis and the main square (Piazza del Comune) along Via, San Francesco. Its foundation rises from storehouses, stables and inns of the twelfth -thirteen century. To this day inhabited and run by descendants, the family Bartocci-Fontana, the Palazzo stilI preserves the telari (canvas painting embedded in the wall) painted by Antonio Nessi and located in the central salon on the first floor.
