 Only 4 star Hotel in the historical centre. The medieval gate of San Gervasio, the secular park and Villa Buonvisi of the 16th century (now known as Villa Bottini) surround HOTEL ILARIA, which was made out of the stables of the villa and situated on via del Fosso inside the ancient walls. The street gets its name from the canal which protected the walls in the 13th century and still flows through the historical centre today. The hotel gets its name from Ilaria del Carretto, the second wife of Paolo Guinigi, a lord in Lucca from the years 1400 to 1430. At Hotel Ilaria you can enjoy a comfortable and hospitable atmosphere in the artistic town of Lucca. The Hotel , which has been completely renovated in 1999, has thirty rooms with private bath, and many other facilities: air conditioning and central heating, individually regulated in each room, colour television, direct telephone (even for external calls), refrigerator, security box and blow dryer. Two large solarium terraces face the park. Breakfast is self-service with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. There is a conference room which seats 20, a lift, parking spaces and private garages. Fax and e-mail service is available upon request.
